Welcome to Bread of Life Daily, where we take a few minutes of the day to orient ourselves toward God and connect with a brother or sister in Christ. We hope this episode helps you love God, love people and serve both.

Hey everyone, welcome to Bread of Life Daily. My name is Jordan Yarbrough and I'm here with Kyle Beeler Today we are talking about this new thing that we got going on. Kyle came to me with this idea and asked for my help on it, and so we have this podcast that you are listening to and he's going to kind of share what the vision is and his heart behind it and how it affects you.

Yeah. So the podcast Better Black Daily is just kind of an idea that I had a little while ago. I left to do some medical training over this last summer in 2024, and I came back and it just struck me that there are so many new faces. It just seems like the church is growing every week, like in Acts, when God's just adding numbers daily to the church, which, yes, is amazing and I love it and it's so great with that realization that we're growing.

It also brought the idea of you know, there are so many people here, uh, that God has called to himself, that he's given gifts, he's done miracles in their life, he's restored them to himself, and I'm like, wow, I just don't have the physical time that it would require to get to know all these people. And that's okay, you know, that's just how it is, that's reality. But I also know, coming from a big kind of mega church that I grew up in, I know that people have gifts and talents and that God has stories in all these people's lives that I am going to miss out on, that they won't be able to contribute unless there's a space and opportunity for them, and so this is just kind of an idea that I feel like the Lord gave me to help that situation.

This really reminds me of when I first got to the church about a year and a half ago here, Andrea Bedford. She taught a message on honoring what God has done in people's lives, and I think that is so good because we often can miss that and this really gives space for that.

Yeah. So basically, the two main objectives I think of this podcast are to, one, encourage and edify the body here Bride of Life, church of Fresno, and two is to help us stay united as a family, kind of like I said. You know I don't have time every Sunday to talk to everyone that I want to and meet all the new people that are coming, and that's a bummer, but that is how it is, and so what I would love for this podcast to be able to do is to give our community more touch points. So maybe I haven't been able to catch up with someone that I really wanted to, but then I hear them on the podcast and you know they're sharing a testimony, something that was done in their life. I'm like, oh man, that's amazing, like I got to talk to them about that, and it'll encourage me to go and get back together with them.

Or maybe it's someone that I haven't even met yet and it'll be like, wow, you know, I never knew that that person's life was like that, or I never knew that they had that, like that wisdom about that subject. I, you know, I'm going to go introduce myself next time to be a space where people can kind of fan little gifts into flame. People could share testimonies and have or do little like mini teachings, you know, if they're a particular kind of expert in some subject, if they love a certain Bible verse and they feel like it's on their heart to share with the community. You know we don't all have the ability to share on Sundays with a large body, so I think that this could be a great space for that too, kind of just what God's doing in people's lives, what he's teaching them. I would love to have this be a space for them to get to share that and get to bless the community with it and grow themselves even further with it.

That is really, really awesome. I cannot wait to hear all the different stories, all the different things that come out of this. And so what we're looking for, right is we're looking for people that want to share testimonies or maybe a favorite scripture and how that applies to them or to the church, maybe a guided prayer or devotional. Those are kind of the main four groups, right.

Yeah. Yeah, those are kind of the main four groups, categories of things that people can share. But the larger point is, if you have something you feel like you would like to share, like to contribute, we're open to you at least to have the conversation about it. So if you have anything like any of those that you think could be encouraging and edifying and would help the church get to know you a little bit more, then please by all means approach me. Jordan, our wives, nicole and Sarah, and we would love to connect with you, hear about what God's been putting on your heart and see if we can get something going together to have a session about it and bless the body and get to know you even more. I think that'd be amazing. So stay tuned.

Yeah, lord, thank you so much for just the ability to gather together, to have these kind of technologies and new capacities for connecting with each other and for growing in your kingdom. We thank you that each and every person at Bread of Life has a story where you've moved in their life and you have given them faith and you've woven them together into this body, into your bride. We thank you so much for your great love for us. That's made all this possible, and so we just pray a blessing over this podcast, as long as it goes, god, that it would be a place where you're glorified and the body gets to know you more and can be encouraged in you and can continue to be brought together as family. We thank you for what you're doing at our church and in our individual lives. We just pray your blessing over the whole community going forward and we thank you.
